Welcome to the new APS EDU On-Line website!

The history and development of Albuquerque Evening High School is fairly simple. Evening High School was started in 1914 as part of Albuquerque High day school. When the school first began it was on a non-credit basis. The students finally began to receive credit in 1957 at Evening High School while remaining part of the day school. In 1977 the school was granted its very own facility, administration, and staff. The school was offered as an alternative to our students who needed to earn credits to graduate. In other words, the students who just needed one or two credits to graduate would not have to wait to take summer school and an entire year to receive their diplomas. It was also an alternative for those students who wanted to graduate early. Many high school students appreciated the idea of the high school and it has grown to become a major high school within Albuquerque Public Schools.
